Schedule Includes “MEB: Miles Electric Band” Making its Only Midwest Stop on Its International Tour
St. Louis, MO – Jazz St. Louis continues its milestone 30th Anniversary Season this April with a vibrant month of performances showcasing local innovators, international legends, and electrifying tributes at the Harold & Dorothy Steward Center. From rising St. Louis bandleaders to global icons of Afro-Cuban jazz, April offers a wide-ranging celebration of jazz artistry and community.
A not-to-be missed highlight of the April line-up is MEB: Miles Electric Band, April 8–12. As part of a limited international tour celebrating the legacy of the legendary trumpeter, Jazz St. Louis is one of only a select few venues worldwide hosting the Miles Electric Band — and the only Midwest stop on the tour. The performances offer a rare opportunity to experience the music and spirit of Miles Davis brought to life by musicians directly connected to his groundbreaking electric period.
The complete lineup in April showcases the depth of St. Louis talent with performances by Antonio Foster & The Fellowship, Mardra Thomas, and Good 4 the Soul with Horns, while also welcoming major touring artists including the legendary Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés. Educational engagement remains a focus with special residency activities led by Lewis Nash, Bruce Forman, Alphonso Horn, and Clark Gibson.
