St. Louis, MO – In celebration of its 30th anniversary season, Jazz St. Louis welcomes some of the city’s most acclaimed jazz artists this January at the Harold & Dorothy Steward Center, offering audiences unforgettable performances to kick off the New Year.
January brings genre-defying sounds of The Bad Plus, followed by St. Louis favorite Bernard Terry and his hard-swinging quartet. Jason Swagler brings soulful, masterful jazz to the stage, and the month wraps with a celebration of Grace Kelly’s 20th anniversary with a joy-filled, genre-blending performance.

Bernard Terry Quartet (Jan. 22): One of St. Louis’s most in‑demand bassists returns with a hard‑swinging quartet performance. Show times available: Thur – 7:30 pm
Jason Swagler (Jan. 23–24): Jason Swagler brings decades of experience and artistry to the Jazz St. Louis stage. From directing the Jazz St. Louis All-Stars to sharing the stage with legends like Joey DeFrancesco and Michael McDonald, Swagler’s sound is soulful, refined, and deeply rooted in the fabric of St. Louis jazz. Running September 2025 through June 2026, the Jazz St. Louis 30th Anniversary Season highlights the rich legacy of jazz in the region, featuring GRAMMY-winning artists, rising stars, and innovative performances, while continuing Jazz St. Louis’ mission to present, educate, and inspire audiences and musicians alike.
