St. Louis, MO – As Jazz St. Louis continues its 30th Anniversary Season, February brings a vibrant mix of internationally acclaimed artists, powerhouse ensembles, and homegrown talent to the Harold & Dorothy Steward Center.
Audiences can expect a month of unforgettable performances spanning Caribbean jazz, hard-driving swing, genre-bending fusion, and intimate trio work from some of today’s most celebrated musicians.
February opens with the final night of Grace Kelly’s run, followed by Reggie Thomas’ Trio Nexus with two evenings of masterful ensemble interplay. The month’s centerpiece features Papo Vázquez Mighty Pirate Troubadours in a high-energy, multi-night residency highlighting Afro-Caribbean jazz innovation. February continues with performances by St. Louis favorite Bernard Long, the always-electrifying Jazz St. Louis Big Band, and concludes with a spectacular run from legendary pianist Monty Alexander.

Reggie Thomas in Trio Nexus (Feb. 4–5) Reggie Thomas returns with Trio Nexus for two nights of soulful, sophisticated ensemble work. Show times: Wed – 7:30 pm, Thu – 7:30 pm
Papo Vázquez Mighty Pirate Troubadours (Feb. 11–15) NEA Jazz Master Papo Vázquez leads a high-energy journey through Afro-Caribbean jazz, bomba, and big-band spirit. Show times: Tue, Wed – 7:30 pm | Thu, Fri – 7:30 pm & 9:30 pm | Sat – 6:30 pm
Bernard Long (Feb. 19) Drummer and educator Bernard Long delivers a powerful evening of rhythm-forward, St. Louis-inspired jazz. Show time: Thu – 7:30 pm
Jazz St. Louis Big Band (Feb. 20–21) The Jazz St. Louis Big Band brings two nights of hard-swinging arrangements showcasing top regional talent. Show times: Fri – 7:30 pm, Sat – 7:30 pm
Monty Alexander (Feb. 25–Mar. 1) Legendary pianist Monty Alexander blends jazz, blues, and Caribbean warmth in a joyful, uplifting series. Show times: Tue, Wed – 7:30 pm | Thu, Fri – 7:30 pm & 9:30 pm
Running September 2025 through June 2026, the Jazz St. Louis 30th Anniversary Season highlights the rich legacy of jazz in the region through GRAMMY-winning artists, emerging stars, and innovative performances while continuing the organization’s mission to present, educate, and inspire.
